Royal Windsor Round Up

We had been promised a very spectacular and special Platinum Jubilee show this year, and it did not disappoint!

We were very privileged to have been given the opportunity to exhibit and sponsor at this prestigious event and with the stunning backdrop of Windsor Castle and facing the Copper Horse Arena, our Smart Grooming stand had a superb location.

The show was a fantastic way of catching up with our existing followers and to introduce our full, complete range of grooming and show preparation to customers, new and old, in such a unique show atmosphere.

Celebrating the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty, and with 16 of her horses competing on royal turf, it was no surprise that her presence was felt all around us. It was particularly special to see her watching the Highland Classes down in the Copper Horse Arena and the Mountain & Moorland In- Hand Championship in the Castle Arena on the Friday of the show.

On Saturday, Smart Grooming sponsored a full day of showing classes in the Copper Horse Arena, with a total of 8 classes and 3 championships taking place. As a supportive touch, we provided branded rosettes for all exhibitors that took part. A small gesture, for the effort they all made in their turnout and taking part at the show.

This week was made particularly special, with two of our team members being able to compete on the first day of the show. As we had been at the show setting up from Tuesday, it meant their ponies had to be brought up by family members for them to ride!
Our newest sales team member, Daisy contested her Welsh Section B Stallion, Thistledown Americano (known as Cracker), producing a beautiful show to finish 7th in one of their first veteran pony classes this season.
While our Social Media and Show Manager, Lauren had a spectacular day with her own Longdon Blackjack (Jack), winning her class and taking Champion Veteran Pony.

Our sponsored rider, Katie Jerram-Hunnable, was representing her owners including HM Queen with entries in over 10 classes! It was encouraging to see such a lovely selection of horses from her stable, and particularly special to have a win for the Queen.

Finally, we wanted to thank all who came to visit us at the show and to anyone who ticked off their shopping lists or made their first Smart Grooming purchase, we really hope you enjoy your goodies!
