Brand Supporters provide us with important feedback, and we welcome contributions with before and after photos, blogs or other ways that you would like to share your tips for using our grooming and show prep products.  We love to hear from our contributors so if you are really happy to shout about what you use, then get in touch.  We try to feature photos and feedback on our social media pages too!  Look forward to hearing from you shortly, and if you become a regular contributor we will appoint you as one of our dedicated Brand Supporters.


Niki Baxter

sgow based, Niki works as a freelance groom running her own business, Baxter Equine Services. Discovering her love for clipping and plaiting during her pony club days, Niki enjoys the whole process of getting a horse show ring ready. The wilder the horses look at the start, the more excitement she takes in tidying them up!

Niki provides us with informative reviews of our products which she uses on a variety of horses.. You will see Baxter Equine Services regularly featured at our Demos and on our social media pages, with her amazingly unique plaits and fabulous before and after photos.

Elizabeth Allen

Elizabeth is one of the dressage riders and trainers at Collective Equestrian near Bristol. She has grown up riding with the pony club, dabbling in a bit of showing too, however the turning point came, aged 13, when she was offered a former FEI Dressage Pony to give her an insight into the world of dressage.

Since then Elizabeth has spent several years studying her BHS Exams as well as working in private dressage yards. Now based at Collective Equestrian, she has a team of 5 horses competing at the top levels as well as gaining her UKCC3 and BHS I qualifications and being a BHS, Pony Club and BD accredited trainer.

Alice Goring & Teddy The Shetland

Alice is based in Surrey and works full time in Osteoporosis Research as well as running her own Eventing Team. Her main horse, The Little Frenchman (Finlay) is just 15hh and named one of Horse and Hounds “Mini Marvels of all Time”, but has easily qualified for 3* Level.

Not forgetting the smallest and fluffiest member of the Alice Goring Eventing Team, Teddy the Shetland! If you’re even the slightest bit horsey, you’ll know who he is! At just 28” tall, Teddy has a whopping 133K followers on Instagram, and counting! Teddy attends every event with Alice and was invited to the Olympia Horse Show to spread the word of their much loved charity, Hannah’s Willberry Wonder Pony.

Ana Isabel Barbosa

Ana is a Smart Grooming brand supporter from Portugal. She competes a full team of horses throughout the year around the country as well as being a European Youth Championship Portuguese Riding Instructor. In 2019, she was chosen by the Portuguese Federation to organise a leg of the Dressage Regional Championships and took her team to France to compete in the Finals.

Ana is supported by both Smart Grooming and Smart Grooming Spain and has regular photo-shoots combining her favourite products, her horses and family. The Smart Grooming Plaiting Wax is a product she cannot live without as it is the perfect tool to create those lovely running plaits on her horses.

Robyn Butler

Robyn is a show rider based in Wiltshire competing her Connemara Lookout Laura’s Flash (Flash) and her Irish Draught Carrabawn Frances (Chunky), while studying at the Royal Agricultural University in Equine and Agricultural Business Management.

The first time she partnered Chunky in the ring, they won the 2018 Pembroke Stud Supreme Irish Draught Championship against many top producers and horses.This year Robyn and Chunky have started Side Saddle and will be contending the Side Saddle classes as well as the Ladies Hunter classes

Donna Bamonte

Donna, who used to work within the Racing Industry, competes within the Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) Programme as well as being the South West Regional Co-Ordinator.

Her ex racehorse “Valentine Jak” (his name matches his special face markings!) is well known as being the most consistent participant of the SEIB Racehorse 2 Riding Horse Of The Year! Donna also has a young Novice Horse called “The Noble Prankster” who she also competes in the same class.

Emma Gunn

Emma, lives on the North Coast of Scotland, working as a Mechanical Designer for Nuvia which is a Global company that is involved in decommissioning nuclear plants, alongside competing her own two horses Penskyber Mayflower and Farrellys Charlie across the country.

No matter what pony she turn out for the ring, whether it’s a hairy cob, M&M or a hack - the Smart Grooming Gloss N Go is her solution to everything! It is an essential to anyone’s show basket. She also admires the Smart Grooming Quarter Marking Spray as it just makes it one less thing to worry during hectic show days since the spray locks the marks in place.

Sophie Pettit

Sophie and her horse Freddie (Krugermac) have spent the last year retraining together since Fred came straight from racing and have formed a strong partnership! Living in Newmarket, the Home of Horseracing, it makes sense that Sophie is also the Retraining of Racehorses co-ordinator for East Anglia. When not retraining or competing Freddie, helping others through the RoR charity, Sophie is a senior secretary to a Professor at Cambridge University.

Freddie and Sophie will now be out competing more in 2020 both in the show ring in RoR classes, as well as unaffiliated show jumping and cross country, always using Smart Grooming products to get the best possible turn out no matter the event!
