Smart Grooming's Coat Sheen for horses enhances the natural shine of the horse's coat without leaving any residue.  Can be used for all coat types, whenever necessary.  This is an outstanding product that can be used all year round and good to use on the coat prior to clipping making it easy for blades to glide through and give a great finish.

For best results, apply Coat Sheen with a fleece mitt, and buff in, giving a super shiny, dry finish.

Coat Sheen includes essential extracts of lavender as well as synthetic ingredients to enhance the natural shine.

Smart Grooming Gloss N Go finishing spray is a high gloss formula similar to the Super Shine but in a trigger spray format.

Ideal used after plaiting to give extra shine to plaits and for a final spray over tails and body before performance.  Also used in the winter as a mud barrier and as a preventative for mud fever.  Spray generously on legs and areas that need mud prevention before turning out

The Ultimate High Shine Lotion

Smart Grooming Super Shine is a concentrated high gloss, non oil based lotion for use on all body areas and manes and tails, and as a final finish before entering the show ring. 

This multi-purpose lotion can be used as a high-lighter, a mix for make up, or used for hot clothing used diluted with hot water, as a final finish for the ultimate shine.  It doesn’t attract dust or dirt – shine is guaranteed all day.  

• This is a non-irritating formula which can also aid the healing of minor scrapes and grazes as well as give a high shine, dry finish that doesn’t attract the dust and is ideal for the show and competition arena to enhance and shine the natural coat colour.

Squeeze a small amount into the palms of your hands and then work through the mane and tail. For body areas we recommend hot clothing with Super Shine for a thorough high shine finish.

• How to Hot Cloth for Condition and Shine

  • Hot clothing for condition and shine is easily done once the coat has been well brushed and clean or has been hot clothed with an astringent based solution such as the Hot Cloth Wash.
  • Apply Super Shine Lotion to a clean coat using approx. 10ml of Super Shine to approx. 500ml of very warm water. 
  • Apply to the coat with a well wrung out flannel or suede feel cloth, and wipe all over the body.
  • Super Shine Lotion will apply a high shine finish when diluted with hot water. Allow to dry for about 10 minutes. 
  • The unique combination of lavender oil and siloxane, give the feel of silk and impart emollience.

Available with a blue suede feel, or a red microfibre cloth.

Smart Grooming Quarter Marking Spray for horses is designed to set and hold quarter marks and brush designs in place ensuring a perfect final finish. 

Will hold brush designs in place all day without leaving a sticky residue and even when taking rugs on and off.  Apply liberally to area that requires marking.  Use comb, slicker or brush to apply markings.  Re-spray over final marks.  Allow to dry.

Smart Grooming Perfect Plaits is a winning plaiting and braiding formula that helps plaits stay firm but with a natural look and keeps hair in place all day. 

Perfect Plaits contains citronella for added benefit in the summer months. Use sparingly – spray on mane after plaiting to ensure hold. Use in conjunction with our Plaiting Wax and Plaiting Gel for ease of use and best results.

Smart Grooming Plaiting Wax for horses is designed to make plaiting and braiding even easier and to help you get great results with no flyaway hairs, Smart Grooming Plaiting Wax is easy to apply and promotes healthy hair.

Formulated with Bees Wax and Vitamin E, this is a non oil-based formula that conditions and nourishes for a shiny finish.

To Use: Simply push stick up from base, apply from the root to the ends and plait as required. Can also be used to tame fly away hair on full manes, native ponies and traditionals.

For Best Results:

• Spray the mane sparingly with Smart Grooming Perfect Plaits Spray, comb through and divide as required.

• Lightly apply Smart Grooming Plaiting Wax one section at a time, one stroke root to tip is generally sufficient.

• Plait down, roll up and band or stitch as required.

• For a final finish, spray all plaits with Smart Grooming Perfect Plaits for added shine.

Smart Grooming Plaiting Gel provides maximum hold and control whilst keeping the plait or braid moist and pliable.  A light, clear gel providing tackiness once in the mane, allowing extra grip and lasting control.

A high quality formula to tame and hold stray hair and unruly manes for defined, perfect plaits.  Use sparingly, a little goes a long way.  Adds shine without attracting dust.

Smart Grooming colour defining make up for horses is designed to enhance depth of colour and conceal blemishes. 

Use sparingly to build up or blend in colour to get the desired shade.  This product can also be used in conjunction with our Enhancing Gloss or Super Shine to get added shine. 

Either, apply a few drops of Super Shine directly into the pot and mix with the colour.  If using Enhancing Gloss, use the make-up directly on the animal and use enhancing gloss over the top to blend in.  Apply sparingly – a little goes a long way.

Smart Grooming Enhancing Gloss is a rich but light textured gloss that highlights and enhances natural colouring around the eyes, muzzle and other areas of the horse or pony.

Made from natural ingredients including Beeswax, Shea Butter and Calendula to bring shine and definition to selected areas. This gloss also contains natural UV filters for added sun protection.

For maximum effect, apply with small sponge or finger tips and work in for desired finish. Can also be used alongside our make ups and colour sprays.

Smart Grooming Hoof Shine is made from natural ingredients including Beeswax and Tea tree oil which are known for their anti bacterial, moisturising and conditioning properties.

This hoof preparation can be applied every day to improve hoof condition as well as maintaining existing healthy hooves.  Hoof Shine is soft and very easy to apply and maintains the same consistency in all temperatures.  Apply directly to the underside of the hoof paying particular attention to the frog and cleft areas as well as applying on the hoof wall giving a high shine finish allowing the natural colour of the hoof to show through.

The Natural Hoof Shine, will enhance the colouring of all types of hooves allowing the hoof colour to really shine through.

The Black Hoof Shine, is the same consistency but with a deep black colouring to blacken hooves giving a super smart finish.

Smart Grooming’s Classic Plaiting & Braiding Apron is a neat, well made plaiting essential that will keep all your plaiting necessities in a handy place.

The plaiting apron is made from hard wearing black cotton drill, with all pockets lined. A deep zipped pocket at the back gives plenty of room for larger items, ideal for packs of rubber bands, small sprays, and extra plaiting kit bits. Its even big enough to pop the horse’s passport in for safe-keeping.

The two smaller pockets on the front have inner loops in the inside for keeping scissors upright or for storing needles, quick unpick and other items, and a small removable sponge on the inside of the other pocket to poke needles into for safe keeping.

The middle pocket is perfect for tubes of Plaiting Gel and Plaiting Wax as well as space for plaiting thread and anything else you might need to keep handy.

This Plaiting apron is an absolute gem, designed to keep everything you need in one place for plaiting. It is well finished, with a hard wearing brass zip and a brass D ring on the side to attach Smart Grooming Handy Towel and Smart Grooming's new Handy Rosette Pincushion Keyring.

Our no-nonsense plaiting mousse is designed to dampen and hold like no other!

An extreme hold mousse that is tacky when damp to provide superior grip. Once dry, it does not leave any white residue.

For best results:

• Shake well before use
• Apply a small amount to a dry or damp section of mane
