INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMER NOTICE: 18th January 2023
Royal Mail is continuing to experience severe service disruption to our international export services following a cyber incident.
We are temporarily unable to despatch orders to overseas destinations. Any orders placed before todays date, which have yet to be dispatched will now be held until an further update comes from Royal Mail. We will email customers to notify them of this and the options we have set in place for the delivery of your purchases.
For the meantime we have now switched off the standard delivery option for our international shipments to avoid confusion, but the express/weighted options (DHL/Courier) are still available.
We would like to sincerely apologise to impacted customers for any disruption this incident is causing and we hope that it will be resolved soon.
All orders made over the weekend will be dispatched on our return on Monday. If a mobile number or Email is provided at the checkout, a tracking number will be sent once your parcel is on it's way. Unless a safe place option is specified, a calling card will be left and you will need to arrange a re-delivery or collection from your local post office.
If the order is really urgent, please call us on 01823 681076 as this can hasten the order and we can sometimes get it fitted in after 12 noon if there is time to pack and process before the courier arrives.
* For orders weighing over 5kg that necessitate UKMail courier delivery, postcode surcharges will apply, this will be calculated at checkout.

Standard Delivery - Sent via Royal Mail, this is a fully tracked service that no longer requires a signature upon delivery. Orders will be sent on a 48 hour service, please allow up to 3 days for delivery providing the items are in stock.
Next Day Delivery - Sent via Royal Mail, dispatched for delivery the following day when ordered during our working week which is Monday to Friday. All orders for next day delivery need to be ordered by 12 noon on the preceding day.
Saturday or Special Delivery - We do also offer a number of additional services including a designated day of delivery, delivery before a certain time and weekend delivery. Please call us so we can advise on the additional cost.
Courier Delivery - Sent via UKMail, all parcels sent with the courier are fully tracked and require a signature upon delivery unless a safeplace option is specified. Courier delivery will be applied when the parcel exceeds the weight or dimensions of regular postal service.
Unless you have specified otherwise, parcels sent with the courier will be left with a neighbor if there is no one at the designated delivery address to sign for the parcel. If you live in a property that is notoriously difficult to find, please provide detailed delivery instructions.
EU and Rest Of The World
Parcels weighing up 2kg will be sent using Royal Mail Tracked Services. Anything over 2kg will be sent using DHL. All international deliveries require a signature unless a safe place option is specified.
All international charges are calculated at the checkout; prices are based on the order weight and location of the delivery destination.
Please note, the delivery prices quoted do not include duty and taxes. The customer is responsible for any VAT, tariff, duty, taxes, handling fees, customs clearance charges, etc. required by your country for importing consumer goods. We do not collect this beforehand, and cannot give you an estimate of the cost - charges vary around the world.

In some cases, heavy or large orders may incur a shipping surcharge; we will contact you by email if this is the case. Should you not wish to pay the shipping surcharge, your order will be cancelled and your payment will be refunded.
Liquids, aerosols and gels
For security reasons relating to international air transport, we are unable to deliver aerosols and some liquids outside of mainland UK. If an order is placed containing any prohibited items, we will contact you to inform you of your options in order to fulfill your order.
Delivery Address Options
When placing an order you can choose to either have your goods delivered to your home address or an alternative delivery address. Please note that Smart Grooming cannot be held responsible where a confirmed order has incorrect delivery information. If the conformation email for the order is incorrect, please call us immediately.
