Smart Grooming Buzz off summer spray is derived from a combination of plant extracts as well as essential oils of Citronella to give protection from airborne pests such as flies, midges and insects during the summer months.  

Buzz Off summer spray is a concentrated but safe and effective formula, leaving a distinctive, pleasant aroma giving long lasting summer fly and midge protection.

We suggest using alongside Smart Grooming Citronella Shampoo during the summer months to give maximum protection.

Avoid eyes and broken skin and as with any new product patch test before use.

Smart Grooming's Citronella Shampoo is luxurious and refreshing and ideal for the summer months, to keep flies and insects at bay!

Washing and conditioning as it goes, Citronella shampoo is effective for washing and whitening all types of horses and ponies.  Used on a regular basis, to enhance the natural shine of the coat as well as condition and maintain overall well being leaving a distinctive, but pleasant long lasting aroma.

Smart Grooming Peppermint Splosh Wash is a deep cleansing and refreshing everyday wash off lotion to cool and cleanse the coat, removing any sweat, dirt or grease effectively.

A blend of witch hazel and oil of peppermint ensures a soothing and revitalising wash off for your horse or pony.

Simply mix a capful of Peppermint Splosh Wash into a bucket of water and wash down, there is no need to rinse!

Smart Grooming Peppermint Horse Shampoo is a deep cleansing shampoo with added peppermint essential oils to cut through the grease and dirt within the coat to promote healthy skin and a hydrated coat. 

A refreshing and conditioning formula to give a high-shine finish.

Can be used neat or diluted directly onto the coat.

Itch Soothe Balm is a soothing, antimicrobial skin balm to protect and moisturise compromised skin on all types of horses and ponies.

Itchy ponies? then this is the one to turn to.  Itch Soothe is made from a combination of natural ingredients including essential oils; shea butter, calendula and beeswax. Just pure goodness to apply to sensitive, itchy or sore areas.

Itch Soothe balm provides a soothing barrier and has proved successful on long standing skin irritations, like sweet itch problems, as well as allowing swift healing and hair regrowth.

 Suitable for all skin types. Apply liberally on affected areas twice a day. Continue treatment until after the itch stops. Re-apply if necessary or further outbreaks occur. (Seek veterinary advice if problem persists).

Smart Grooming's Coat Sheen for horses enhances the natural shine of the horse's coat without leaving any residue.  Can be used for all coat types, whenever necessary.  This is an outstanding product that can be used all year round and good to use on the coat prior to clipping making it easy for blades to glide through and give a great finish.

For best results, apply Coat Sheen with a fleece mitt, and buff in, giving a super shiny, dry finish.

Coat Sheen includes essential extracts of lavender as well as synthetic ingredients to enhance the natural shine.

Smart Grooming Enhancing Gloss is a rich but light textured gloss that highlights and enhances natural colouring around the eyes, muzzle and other areas of the horse or pony.

Made from natural ingredients including Beeswax, Shea Butter and Calendula to bring shine and definition to selected areas. This gloss also contains natural UV filters for added sun protection.

For maximum effect, apply with small sponge or finger tips and work in for desired finish. Can also be used alongside our make ups and colour sprays.

Smart Grooming Hoof Shine is made from natural ingredients including Beeswax and Tea tree oil which are known for their anti bacterial, moisturising and conditioning properties.

This hoof preparation can be applied every day to improve hoof condition as well as maintaining existing healthy hooves.  Hoof Shine is soft and very easy to apply and maintains the same consistency in all temperatures.  Apply directly to the underside of the hoof paying particular attention to the frog and cleft areas as well as applying on the hoof wall giving a high shine finish allowing the natural colour of the hoof to show through.

The Natural Hoof Shine, will enhance the colouring of all types of hooves allowing the hoof colour to really shine through.

The Black Hoof Shine, is the same consistency but with a deep black colouring to blacken hooves giving a super smart finish.

The Smart Grooming Fold Up Levelling Knife for horses, is a super smart folding levelling and thinning knife to keep manes and tails neat and tidy.

So easy to use and gives a pulled look without giving any discomfort, ideal for manes, tails and feathers.

Directions for use:

For best results, take a small section of hair at a time, back comb  until you are holding just a few hairs.  Then use the blade to slice off the ends. Brush out, repeat up and down the mane. 

A neat addition to any equestrian's grooming kit and is handy to fold away.

The Smart Grooming Traditional Body brush for horses is made from high quality, densely packed horse hair bristles.  Used together with a metal curry for cleaning the bristles as its used, will give maximum cleaning when removing dust and dander from the coat.

The unique craftmanship and ergonomic design of this brush makes it so comfortable to hold and is suitable for most hand shapes and sizes.

Only pure, natural bristles are used in the making of this environmentally friendly brush. A luxurious product for the discerning horse owner.  A fabulous addition to any horse grooming kit.

Smart Grooming's Polar White is a spectacular stain remover spray for horses which will help achieve instant whiteness.  It has been designed to lift stable and grass stains as well as to remove stubborn discolouration on feathers, socks and tails when used as a spray shampoo.

A clear, fresh smelling spray, giving excellent results on white and light coloured body areas. 

For best results: damp the dirty or stained area first then apply the spray directly or onto a sponge.  Brush or massage in well.  Leave for 5 minutes.  Rinse out.  For really stubborn stains repeat procedure.  For yellow tails, dip tail in warm water, spray liberally and massage in well.  Leave for 5 minutes and then rinse and shampoo as normal.  We recommend using with our Deep Purple whitening shampoo, which conditions and whitens stubborn areas too.

The humane way to tidy and thin.

The Smart Grooming Smart Manes Thinning & Tidying Rake will actually thin out a thick mane quickly and effortlessly and is perfect for tidying horses that usually react to traditional pulling methods. Guaranteed to work on even the most sensitive.

Three grades to choose from depending on the finish and density of hair being tamed.
Coarse - Great for a more natural finish. Good for coarse/wiry types of mane. The teeth are spaced out more widely allowing thick hair to pass through more easily. (12 teeth)

Medium - Perfect for the average unruly mane, this will cope with medium to soft hair. (18 teeth)

Fine - Suitable for very soft manes and for manes which have already been tidied. (23 teeth)

Brush through the mane first and put on the “wrong side”.  Comb through with a Smart Manes starting at the top, one stroke at a time working down. Brush back on to correct side.  If you want a level finish we recommend finishing with our Pro Levelling knife. 

Please note, the Smart Manes rake will thin the hair very quickly so be careful not to remove too much hair in one go as this can cause the hair to grow back rather spiky.

The original and the best! Smart Grooming Smart Tails standard range will give you the show ring finish in minutes with zero discomfort  to your horse and safe for you to use too. This product is the “go to” for tidying up in minutes!

If you are looking for that smart professional “pulled” look or just want more definition and less bulk to the mane or tail, then choose from either coarse, medium, or fine grade depending on the finish. 

Use evenly down the sides of the tail starting at the top and working down, blend into a tapered look towards the end of the dock.  If you are not sure of the finish you would like, do a bit each day and then damp down and tail bandage for an hour or so. 

Check and then do a bit more until you get the finish you require.  If you want a more natural finish and just looking tidy, choose a coarse or a medium grade.  For a closer finish choose fine, although a medium may be needed to start with if the tail is very thick.

Smart Grooming Xtreme Detangler is an advanced detangling formula for all types of mane, tails and feathers.

With deep conditioning properties, this spray reduces hair breakages as well as loosening knots, matts or tangles.  This non greasy and oil free spray leaves not only shine, but will repel dust, dirt and stains. 

For best results: Spray directly into a clean mane, tail or feathers. Brush through thoroughly for a smooth, silky, tangle free finish.

The Smart Grooming Super Groomer is great for removing dried, caked mud and sweat quickly and easily.  The rubber back makes the Pink Edition also brilliant for shampooing. Apply shampoo directly to the Super Groomer, massage all over before rinsing for a through clean.

It is really brilliant to use on sensitive horses, and is particularly good to use around the head and eyes where mud can get stuck on and brush bristles are not always appreciated! Being made of flexible recycled polypropylene it contours to the shape of legs and awkward areas. 

Also good to use as a clothes brush for removing pet hair from furniture and car seats.  Altogether an all round brilliant product which we love!
