Delivery Information

UK Deliveries

We aim to dispatch all orders within 24 to 72 hours of receiving them. During busy periods, dispatch times may be slightly longer, if this is the case, we will contact you via email or telephone to keep you informed.

Orders placed over the weekend will be processed and dispatched on the following Monday. If you provide a mobile number or email address at checkout, you will receive a tracking number once your parcel is on its way.

Unless you specify a safe place for delivery, a calling card will be left if you're unavailable, and you will need to arrange redelivery or collection from your local post office or courier depot.

If your order is urgent, please call us on 01823 681076 — we may be able to prioritise your order for same-day dispatch (even after 12 noon), depending on courier collection times and packing availability.

For orders weighing over 5kg that necessitate DHL Parcel UK delivery, postcode surcharges will apply; this will be calculated at checkout.

Standard Delivery - Sent via Royal Mail, this is a fully tracked service that no longer requires a signature upon delivery. Orders will be sent on a 48-hour service. Please allow up to 3 days for delivery, provided the items are in stock.

Next Day Delivery - Sent via Royal Mail, dispatched for delivery the following day when ordered during our working week which is Monday to Friday. All orders for next day delivery need to be ordered by 12 noon on the preceding day.

Saturday or Special Delivery - We do also offer a number of additional services including a designated day of delivery, delivery before a certain time and weekend delivery. Please call us so we can advise on the additional cost. 

Courier Delivery - Sent via DHL Parcel UK, all parcels sent with the courier are fully tracked and require a signature upon delivery unless a safe place option is specified.  Courier delivery will be applied when the parcel exceeds the weight or dimensions of regular postal service. Unless you have specified otherwise, parcels sent with the courier will be left with a neighbour if there is no one at the designated delivery address to sign for the parcel. If you live in a property that is notoriously difficult to find, please provide detailed delivery instructions.

EU and Rest Of The World

Parcels weighing up 2kg will be sent using Royal Mail Tracked Services. Anything over 2kg will be sent using DHL or Parcelforce. All international deliveries require a signature unless a safe place option is specified. 

All international postal charges are calculated at the checkout; prices are based on the volumetric weight and location of the delivery destination. Prices can fluctuate.

Import Duties and Taxes

Please note that the delivery prices quoted do not include import duties, taxes, or related charges. As the customer, you are responsible for any VAT, customs duties, tariffs, handling fees, or other import-related costs that may be imposed by your country upon delivery.

These charges are not collected by us, and we are unable to provide an estimate, as they vary, depending on your location and local customs regulations.

Delivery Information

Shipping Surcharges for Heavy or Oversized Orders

In certain cases, particularly with heavy or bulky items, an additional shipping surcharge may apply. If this is relevant to your order, we will contact you via email before dispatch. Should you choose not to proceed with the additional shipping cost, your order will be cancelled and your payment fully refunded.

Liquids, Aerosols, and Gels – Delivery Restrictions

Due to international air transport regulations, we are unable to ship aerosols and certain liquids outside of mainland UK. If your order includes any restricted items, we will contact you to discuss the available options to fulfil your order.

Delivery Address Accuracy

At checkout, you may choose to have your order delivered to your billing address or an alternative delivery address. Please ensure that all delivery details are entered correctly. Smart Grooming cannot be held responsible for delays or losses resulting from incorrect address information provided at the time of order. If you notice any errors in your confirmation email, please contact us immediately so we can amend the details before dispatch.

Holiday Shipping Information

To give your orders the best chance of arriving in time for Christmas, please place your UK orders by 18th December at 23:59. While we will do everything possible to get your items to you on time, we cannot guarantee delivery due to potential postal delays during the busy holiday period.

Please note that our office and dispatch team will close for Christmas on 19th December at 17:00 and will reopen on 2nd January at 08:30. Any orders placed during this period will be processed once we return.

We recommend placing your orders early to avoid disappointment and ensure your horsey gifts and essentials arrive when you need them.
