Sustainability

Here at Smart Grooming HQ, we are constantly looking at ways to make our carbon footprint smaller and doing our best to be a sustainable company. Please get in touch if you have any specific questions or queries regarding sustainability. 

Packaging

We use recycled packaging where possible and when boxes are no longer reusable for shipping, we shred them for squishy and protective packaging! Our cardboard boxes are from a FSC* Certified company.  (*The Forest Stewardship Council^® is a global, not for profit organisation dedicated to the promotion of responsible forest management worldwide.) We limit our plastic use in packaging only to when it's absolutely necessary. 

Post Cards – Made with FSC stock, which is fully recyclable.

Labels – Made with polypropylene, which is recyclable.

Tape  - We use fully recyclable polypropylene tape and recyclable/compostable paper tape.

Bubble wrap - made with 30% recycled content, fully recyclable.

Mailing bags - made with 30% recycled content.

Paper - made with recycled paper, fully recyclable.

Pallet Wrap - 100% recycled. 

Heating

We heat our offices using air source heat pumps which are extremely efficient and sustainable. They use amazing technology which converts heat from the air outside (even when it's freezing) and pumps warm air inside. 

Products

We currently distribute a wide range of products which are made using sustainable materials including our SuperGroomer is made from recycled polypropylene. Our plastic liquid bottles contain 30% recycled material within each bottle and are recyclable.

Where possible, we choose to buy from British suppliers to minimise our carbon footprint.
