Your Horse Live 2019 Round Up

Your Horse Live 2019 Round Up

Well, what a fabulous YHL we had this year.

This was our first year having our own dedicated Smart Grooming stand and being situated next to the Clippersharp Demonstration Arena, provided us with the ability to show case our products as well as giving advice and tips about all the products.

We had an amazing Ambassador support team including Laura Fisher and Amy Russell who were with us for all three days providing camera and video takes as well as imparting their practical knowledge about our products.  Joined also by Chloe Stevens and Amber Major, helping, meeting and greeting and being what ambassadors should be to a brand – thank you!

Demonstrations were full on for all three days and included a mixture of clipping and turnout, with the added sparkle of equestrian celebrities, Hovis and Teddy and the adorable Bransby rescue pony Huckleberry a 4 yr old, on Sunday afternoon who enjoyed a full make over with Liz Daniels and Nikki Baxter. Clipped, plaited, trimmed and preened whilst he relaxed and enjoyed the attention.

British Grooms Association members, Liz and Nikki, both travelled down from Scotland, and provided amazing tutorials on clipping and plaiting, imparting their invaluable knowledge gained from being professional grooms.  Clipper brand sponsors, Lister, Liveryman and Heiniger, provided clippers and trimmers to be demonstrated, which enabled spectators to see the brands at work.  An absolute gem of an opportunity if clippers were being considered for purchase and to gain advice from the manufacturers as well as the clipper professionals before making a choice.

The Smart Grooming brand was show cased by our newly appointed sponsored rider and team, Katie and Chris Jerram-Hunnable.  Top show tips, turnout and show preparation were expertly and freely given by Katie who is a well known and respected rider, judge and producer.  It was a pleasure and honour for us, that she chose to bring Donation, owned by HM the Queen.  He looked an absolute picture, and provided the canvas needed to show exactly how our products work to their best advantage.

Lastly, the arena wouldn’t have been the same without our hugely popular comperes Russell Marks and Michele Cooper.  Both with a background in equestrianism including showing and judging, this helped when it came to turnout tips and clipping questions and gave the interaction with the audience and demonstrators to maximise the education and learning experience from the ring side.

Roll on YHL 2020, we have a few more ideas to work on for next year!
