The Smart Grooming Pro Levelling Knife is a levelling and thinning tool for humanely tidying manes, tails and feathers.

For especially thick manes start by using a Smart Manes thinning rake to remove extra weight from the underside of the mane.

For Best Results:

Start with a tangle-free mane, take a small section of hair at a time, and backcomb until you are holding just a few hairs.  Then use the blade to cut the section to your desired length. Brush out and repeat throughout the mane.

Brilliant tool for stress-free mane tidying

I have wanted one of these for ages after reading the great reviews, and finally purchased one. What a brilliant tool for stress-free mane tidying. I have two cob crosses that haven't had their manes touched all winter. The coarse levelling knife made short work of their thick manes, and they look tidily pulled, not cut. One of the horses is averse to having his mane pulled, but once he realised I wasn't going to pull it, he relaxed and went to sleep. Both manes were done in less than half an hour total. Thank you, Smart Grooming!

Very useful tool! ( Pro Levelling knife)

I have a horse who is very sensitive with having her mane pulled. however i really wanted her mane to have that "pulled" look. She did not move a muscle and ended up falling asleep!
